The noble gases, part III
A sprawling, multimillion-dollar study of the periodic table's religious right. Today, the final instalment in our series on helium, compiled and reported by Bret Dawson.

Where there is smoke, there is often fire. Where there is fire, there is often flame. Where there is flame, there is often smoke.

When your mind has finished with its boggling, please do read on.

What you have just experienced is called Misanchuk's Triangle, a philosophical device first discovered more than a century ago by the great Ukrainian thinker Taras Misanchuk. Part puzzle, part solution, the Triangle is best thought of as a funnel into which ill-formed thoughts may be poured. It enforces logical rigour and simplicity even as it encourages creative approaches, always reminding the logician that he is mere steps away from Where It All Got Started.

The Triangle may be used to practical ends, such as focusing police investigations on likely suspects, or helping hosts discover which flavour of Bagel Ready™ Cream Cheese Spread is likely to win greatest approval from their brunch guests.

There is no problem -- philosophical, practical or otherwise -- whose solution is not hastened by the application of Misanchuk's Triangle.

But.

What about helium? It doesn't even frickin' burn!

When your mind has finished with its boggling, we encourage you to eat a balanced lunch that includes choices from all four food groups. Remember, a healthy body makes for a healthy mind.

That is all.
